List of Top 7 4×4 Cars in India 2023

4×4 Cars in India: SUVs have long been popular in India because of their strong road presence and upscale appeal. Many of us buy these SUVs because of their major feature – four-wheel drive (4WD), which allows them to go across terrains that other cars can only dream of conquering.

There are 18 4WD vehicles for sale now, including Hatchbacks, Sedans, SUVs, and more beginning from Rs. 7.50 lakh. Mahindra Thar (Rs. 13.53 – 16.03 Lakh), Toyota Fortuner (Rs. 31.79 – 48.43 Lakh), and Jeep Compass are the most popular vehicles in this segment (Rs. 18.04 – 29.59 Lakh).

Apart from the 4WD and AWD SUVs from the top European luxury vehicle manufacturers, there are numerous more SUVs in the lower price ranges that include 4WD as a standard or option. The following is a list of the top ten 4×4 cars in India SUVs currently on the market in India:

Mahindra Thar:

The Mahindra Thar, the country’s most inexpensive 4×4 car in India, has become the most popular lifestyle vehicle for the public, thanks to its rough aesthetics and strong road presence. The Mahindra Thar comes standard with a 44 drivetrain across the board, with variations using a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine (150 PS/300 Nm) and a 2.0-liter diesel engine (130 PS/320 Nm), all of which are available with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gears.
